Catalyst 7.1 series drivers for Vista released

By Justin Mann

On January 29, 2007, 3:04 PM

The day before release, AMD has released the latest update to the Catalyst 7.1 suite for Vista. Available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, the drivers add a few notable new features, such as Blu-ray and HD playback, CrossFire support for Vista, native OpenGL support, a new Catalyst Control Center and a host of bug fixes for the Control Center. The Blu-ray and HD playback functions only with the 32bit drivers, with playback for 64bit drivers planned for a future release. If you're planning on upgrading to Vista and have a Radeon card, you might as well snag these now.
