Microsoft skips “Patch Tuesday”

It’s that time of the month again only this time it's different, Microsoft has announced they are taking a break from their regular routine and won’t be releasing any security updates next Tuesday. The reason is that the updates they are working on simply are not ready yet, although they will be releasing some non-security updates and the latest version of the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.

“Microsoft is currently working on patches for known vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer 7, Office 2007's Publisher 2007 and Windows Vista OS, but they are not ready for release at the moment,” said a spokesman from Microsoft's public relations firm Thursday.

Microsoft has always been on time with their updates, as a matter of fact the last time they missed a Patch Tuesday was September 2005. Let’s just hope the extra wait is worth it.
