All OpenOffice users will be happy to learn that OpenOffice.org has released version 2.2 of the suite, which is already available for download. The update brings a host of bugfixes and many new features to the popular suite, including many expansions to its desktop integration features, compatibility with Microsoft Office, the ability to update extensions automatically and much more. You can read the full release notes at the OpenOffice site or better yet, download it and it a try.

Other improvements include a slightly improved interface appearance, better SQL editing functionality, better appearance in Vista and many stability improvements for Mac OS X. It is definitely a worthy upgrade for anyone using 2.1 or prior.
