Nvidia to introduce several new G80 cards this month

Nvidia's 8500GT, 8600GT and 8600 GTS are on their way, bringing DX10 and G80 technology to a much more affordable arena. Due in just a few more days, the April 17th launch will bring cards ranging from $89 to $229. The cards will range from having 128MB to 256MB of GDDR3 or DDR2 and a 450MHz GPU to 675MHz GPU. $89 is really approaching the low end of affordability, and yet Nvidia is still planning to release cards that are even more stepped down and will cost less. I wonder exactly where their market will be in that aspect, since this launch will definitely qualify the G80 based cards as having “entry-level” options.
