Intel to give Quad Core CPUs 1333MHz FSB?

The next iteration of quad core on the desktop from Intel may get yet another boost, with an increase of the FSB. Currently using the 1066MHz FSB, Intel's Quad Core CPUs may be released with support for a 1333MHz FSB come late this year, coupled with their “enthusiast-class” 3-series chipsets. A sited processor was the QX6850, due out in Q3, which would be a quad core beast running at 3GHz.

Given that Intel says they are interested in the admittedly small enthusiast market, it makes sense for them to offer this, paired with DDR3. None of this will be cheap, of course, but Intel says we'll buy it anyway.
