The CEO of Xandros seems to be disappointed all around. In recent statements, he commented on the nature of the deal between them and Microsoft which was announced just a few days ago. Many claimed it was another of Microsoft's bullish steps to try and get more credence to their statements of Linux patent violations. Mr. Typaldos, however, disagrees with Microsoft on the assertion that their product, or other Linux products, violate Microsoft patents. He also claimed that their deal with Microsoft did not force them to say otherwise at any point.

By the same token, he expressed upset that the Linux community frowned upon the Microsoft/Xandros deal.

However, perhaps his words will echo hollow to many. As the interview progresses, it's like many other we've seen. Novell made similar statements regarding patent violations, and I have a sneaking suspicion that other companies in agreements with Microsoft like LG will claim the same.
