The Internet was made a tiny bit safer this weekend. Safer by 111 scammers to be exact, or at least suspected scammers. On Saturday, Dutch police arrested a total of 111 suspects, who are believed to be 419 scammers. After a seven month investigation into the people and the scams (which anyone who has received spam has likely seen an iteration thereof), they were arrested and will likely be charged with attempting to scam by means of email lotterys.

This is only a drop in the bucket for the Netherlands and even moreso worldwide, but as white collar crimes like phishing become more recognized and are punished more harshly, perhaps it'll make the net as a whole a little bit nicer. Perhaps.
