TechSpot readers survey, we need your help

By

On June 29, 2007, 3:20 PM

We want to thank everybody who took the survey. We have collected enough data at this time so we have closed the reader survey now.
As many of you are aware, TechSpot is solely supported on advertising revenue. Lucky for us, we have not gone mad with expenditures and we survived the dot com bust many years ago, and today we are alive and kicking it, joining a new wave of websites and online services that truly rock and we enjoy using.

With that in mind, we've put together a brief survey that asks for some information about you, your use and opinions of TechSpot. This will help us as we plan TechSpot's future, and collect some information that's of interest to potential advertisers. Rest assured the information will remain anonymous and used in aggregate so we can build a profile of our audience. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

1. I took the survey... glad to be able to possibly help a small bit in making money for TS
2. Well, I do click your ads sometimes, lol.
3. A few years ago in a contest this site gave away a video card. How did you get the funding for that?
4. Done.
5. I have at least two giveaways lined up for the remainder of 2007.I'm all open for any suggestions on your part for the prizes and rules for winning.
6. Done
7. Anything to support you Julio. I have enjoyed Techspot for some time now and was more then happy to take the survey. As far as prizes, I know that with the release of the new AMD graphic card line that their marketing people might be eager to do something there(or even on the processor side).RAM is getting cheaper and cheaper everyday and memory is always a good thing. What about a water cooling system? Or a nice tower?
8. Try for the AMD video card, and water cooling! Lets face it, cases are a personal thing, you pick the one you like. You need generic stuff that would appeal to more of your readers. (And btw thanks Julio, this has become a site I visit daily. It always has fast, interesting news)
9. Thanks everyone for your support and comments.Believe it or not, AMD has been quite unsupportive during the past year or so, it's much easier for us to get Intel CPUs for review than AMD's.As for the giveaway, probably a high-end videocard will do. I'm also in the talks for bringing some TechSpot t-shirts and hopefully some high quality mousepads that come with our logo, for both resale and givingaway.
10. Will do. I have enjoyed reading the news and reviews on techspot since the days of 3dspotlight. anything to help out.
11. Interesting about AMD not being co-operative. I deal with some of their marketing people and usually find them to be both pleasant and helpful. Although in this case they are likely tired of the "bad press" surrounding dissapointing reviews of their products vs. the Dual Core.
12. Lol, you should try and give away a Zune / iPhoneThis should get a lot of fan boys excited
