MSC introduces CellShock DDR3 1800MHz modules

Another manufacturer has entered into the ranks of those offering very high-speed DDR3, including 1800MHz Modules. MSC, under the brand name CellShock, has introduced two new units operating at 1600MHz and 1800MHz, using Micron chips.

The new units operate at 7-6-6-18 timings for 1600MHz and 8-7-6-21 for 1800MHz, which is faster than modules released by other vendors recently such as OCZ. The lower latencies are being attributed to a new “ultra low noise” PCB for the chips. Unlike most vendors, however, CellShock offers 5-year rather than lifetime warranties.

The new 2GB kits are already available via retail.
