Google completes acquisition of Postini
Earlier this year, Google announced their intentions to acquire one of the largest anti-spam companies in the world, Postini. They faced some criticism for it but the deal stood up to scrutiny and got the go-ahead from regulatory agencies.
Now, a relatively short month later, Postini has now become fully a part of Google. This adds a significant chunk of ownership to Google, who now is responsible for 10 million people relying on Postini to keep their inboxes spam-free.
The one company that they are most likely to run up against is, no big surprise here, Microsoft. With almost every purchase Google makes, they are creeping into Microsoft's territory more and more.
