Back in July, citing “insatiable” demand for ever-increasing amounts of mass storage, Western Digital began offering external 2TB storage units of its My Book line. Today, the company introduced smaller and sleeker My Book external storage solutions: My Book Home Edition, My Book Office Edition and My Book Essential Edition.

The new drives will be available in sizes ranging from 320GB to 1TB, featuring synchronization and encryption of data on both Home and Office models, plus remote access and sharing capabilities on the My Book Office Edition. My Book Essential Edition is a more affordable for users who just need to add more storage capacity. All drives are equipped with a USB 2.0 interface – plus FireWire 400 and eSATA on the Home Edition.

All models are available now for $129.99 to $379.99 depending on model and capacity. You can read the full press release at WD's site.
