Radeon users everywhere will be glad to know that ATI has released a new hotfix for the Catalyst 7.9 driver suite which should fix some bugs and improve performance on a handful of games.

This particular hotfix addresses the intermittent hangs for the Radeon HD 2400 and Radeon HD 2600 while playing the recently released BioShock game. It also includes performance improvements and a number of bugfixes for games such as Enemy Territory Quake Wars, Call of Juarez, World in Conflict, Time Shift, and Team Fortress 2.

The new Catalyst driver hotfix can be downloaded here for both Windows Vista and Windows XP.

  1. Time Shift hasn't even been released, how does it improve performance on something that hasn't even been released? According to gamespot it comes out in a month, October 30th.
  2. Drivers developers have early access to titles although I agree it doesn't make any sense for them to include that in the release notes if nobody else can play the game.
