McAfee has updated their software lineup, hoping to entice more customers as well as give their existing customers more "flexibility" in choosing a security suite. Calling the new software part of their "Triple Play", there are three price brackets for three different suites. They now by default use three different licenses for all of their desktop products, making it easier (or at least cheaper) to keep several machines updated without having to pay for multiple subscriptions, particularly if you want "everything". This is starting with their McAfee 2008 Security Suites, and includes all of their different types of desktop products.

As others bring out, however, the biggest issue with all modern day A/V and other such suites is often their quality and performance impact, not their licensing schemes. One interesting note is their upcoming mobile suite, which will be able to scan and protect devices running Windows Mobile like PDAs.
