Unreal Tournament 3 beta demo released

As if the just released Call of Duty 4 and TimeShift demos weren’t enough, here’s something else to occupy your time during the weekend: the PC demo for Midway and Epic Games’ Unreal Tournament 3 is out.

You will be able to get a taste of the highly anticipated first-person shooter ahead of its November release on the PC, which is to be followed by PS3 and Xbox 360 versions “early” next year. The demo includes three different “Deathmatch” and “Vehicle Capture the Flag” maps, all playable locally against bots or online against human opponents.

You can download the 740MB demo here, and be sure to check out if you meet the recommended requirements to enjoy this game with all the eye candy turned on.

  1. Does anyone know the free space requirements?I have about 300 MB free on my OS partition, and selected another partition for the installation destination. It installed PhysX drivers to the OS partition, then nagged about missing disk space (which by then had about 200 MB free). Temporary directories are also on another partition. What does it want to install to the OS partition so badly?
  2. 300mb free on an os partition = death...so.. yeah....
  3. Sweet game! Love it!
