Earlier this week EA and Crytek announced that the highly anticipated first-person shooter Crysis went gold, confirming that the game will ship on time, on its already announced release date of November 16.

Now, another highly anticipated first-person shooter has reached gold status. According to Midway, the PC version of Unreal Tournament 3 is done, ready to be duplicated, boxed up and sold. The title is officially scheduled to arrive on U.S. store shelves on November 19 in regular and collector's editions, priced at $49.99 and $59.99 respectively.

While you wait for the games to arrive, a demo for both Crysis and Unreal Tournament 3 will give you a taste of the gameplay and graphics you can expect from these titles. UT3 = really good fast paced action... the engine seems to be pretty scalable, too, running in medium settings produces a nice enough performance boost for those of us still running last generation graphics cards.
