Microsoft details Xbox 360 Fall Update, adds DivX support
Microsoft has officially detailed the new features and capabilities it plans to unleash on Xbox 360 users with its Fall Dashboard Update next Tuesday. In addition to the Xbox 360 Family Timer and Friends of Friends features announced earlier this month, this update will also add various additional features to the console’s interface.
The downloadable enhancement include access to Xbox Originals, a service through which Xbox Live users can download games developed for Microsoft’s original Xbox console and play them without a disc. Each game will set you back 1200 Microsoft Points – which translates to $15. It will also include DivX support as well as an Inside Xbox feature that provides news from the console’s website, similar to Sony’s recently introduced PS3 Information Board.
The Xbox 360 Fall Dashboard Update is scheduled to go live on December 4th and will be ready to download by 2AM Pacific. Full details are available at Xbox.com.

content?

installing of the codec into the 360 OS. it should be able
to read the content from any medium.
