Nvidia introduces Quadro FX 3700

Nvidia has introduced a new card to their professional series this week, offering the Quadro FX 3700 as a high-end workstation card. The new unit relies on PCI Express 2.0, giving it a lot more potential bandwidth than previous generation cards. The Quadro FX 3700 has 512MB of memory and “112 parallel processors”, with Nvidia pitching it as an ideal solution for CAD.

The cards are SLI compatible, of course. The cards are fairly low power too, with power consumption below 80W. All of this comes at a premium. The cards will retail for around $1600 each, but clearly they are aimed at companies which need that sort of horsepower. You can read the full press release at Nvidia's site.
