15 Intel 'Montevina' CPUs due in May

Intel has several new 45nm CPUs on the way, all based on the Montevina core. A total of 15 CPUs are scheduled for release in May, all destined for Centrino platforms. 8 of the CPUs won't actually be aimed at laptops, despite being mobile CPUs, and instead will be aimed at small form factor devices. The CPUs have a wide variety of speeds and thermal demands, though the beefiest of them, the Core 2 Extreme QX9300, uses a mere 45W. Other CPUs scale down from there, with TDP going all the way down to a mere 10W for the Celeron 723 and 5.5W for the U3300.

Not much else is known, but it is interesting to see Intel releasing several mobile-class CPUs at once, with many of the CPUs aimed specifically at non-mobile markets.
