Aspyr to bring Call of Duty 4 to the Mac
Mac gaming may be the punch line of many PC gamers’ jokes, but it’s kept alive by a few Mac publisher holdouts. Today at the Macworld Expo in San Francisco, Aspyr Media announced that it will be bringing one of the most enjoyed and popular FPS games of 2007 to the Mac, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
The game features high-def graphics, 5.1 surround sound and a cross-platform multiplayer mode that includes a level system, a variety of unlockable perks, hot-join and matchmaking, along with more than 100 unique challenges and new game environments and modes. The game is expected to be available for Mac in May 2008, and should soon be available for pre-order through Aspyr’s website for $50.
