OCZ introduces new DDR2 PC2-8000 kit

In a press release issued today, OCZ announced the introduction of a new enthusiast grade memory kit. Adding on to their popular Platinum series, the new modules are available only as 2GB modules or a 4GB kit and pitched as an “affordable” overclocking choice. The modules are PC2-8000, which is fast but not surprising in 2008. The stock timings are 5-5-5 at these speeds and of course include the OCZ warranty and the OCZ EVP, which is a great thing to have if you are someone who really likes to push hardware to its limit.

You can read the press release at OCZ's site.

  1. I really like OCZ, I'm actually using their platinum series right now, and they are running great!
