If there is no longer be any competition then video card prices will go up significantly. There will be nobody else in the video card industry to compete against nvidia if that happens for the next few years.AMD's 3870 X2 is a good sign that their video cards are beginning to rouse the interest of consumers. If only they can get their processors to do the same thing too.
