Asustek to release new Eee PCs this month
The next iteration of Asustek's current superstar is on its way, with some saying that the second-gen Eee PC will be ready within just a few weeks. An April release would put them well ahead of the competition, which might put a dent in the plans of companies such as Acer.
The early release is a double-edged sword, as they will not be able to make use of the Intel Atom in their current design, something the competition will have over them. It might still capture them more of the market, though, making it even easier for future versions. Asustek is planning to use the Atom processors going forward, once they are available.
