A Windows users' favorite day of the month must be Patch Tuesday. After all, fixing gaping holes that you didn't even know were there is always nice. Today's Patch Tuesday brought with it five patches which fixed a total of 10 vulnerabilities. Flaws in Office, Windows GDI, Internet Explorer, ActiveX, VBScript and Jscript were all discovered and fixed.

The most important of those fixes from an user's standpoint are probably the Internet Explorer related fixes, which affected all versions of Windows and both IE6 and IE7 in various fashions.
