Yahoo to trial Google's AdSense on its search results
News coming from Yahoo have been incessant after Microsoft's hostile takeover attempts arose. Today the #2 most popular search engine announced they would be trialing its main competitor's program Google Adsense on its search results as a way to explore "strategic alternatives to maximize stockholder value." In other words, find viable short term excuses on why it shouldn't surrender to Microsoft's aggressive bid.
Although the trial will be very limited in scope, let's not forget that Yahoo possesses the #2 contextual search ad-based network (a.k.a. Yahoo! Search Marketing) that complements its web properties. From our perspective, this does nothing but diminish the company's overall value.
