Apple today refreshed its all-in-one iMac desktop line by bumping up CPU speeds across the board and adding faster graphics to the top-end 24-inch model, which should be more than welcome to those who like to get the most for their dollar.

The new line features a 20-inch 2.4GHz (up from 2.0GHz) model, a 20-inch 2.66GHz model (up from 2.4GHz), and a 24-inch with either a 2.8GHz or 3.06GHz chip (up from 2.4GHz or 2.8GHz). The price points remain the same as their predecessors, starting at $1,199. Apple’s revamped line of iMacs arrive on the heels of another strong quarterly financial report, with the company last week claiming revenues of $7.51 billion and net quarterly profit of $1.05 billion, a 43% increase year over year.

  1. No overpriced laptop with a stand for me. Apple, please come up with a decent design.
