Firefox 3 Release Candidate 2 hits the web

Mozilla has just released the latest and last update to Firefox 3 before it goes final, Release Candidate 2. Though officially still for 'testing' purposes only, this release has just a few additional fixes since RC1 and may actually represent the final version of the browser.

Development has come a long way since Firefox 2, with more than 14,000 changes and improvements made under the hood (better memory handling, speed improvements) as well as feature-wise (protection against phishing sites, improved bookmark management). Overall, Firefox 3 is a very customizable yet solid browser that is well worth the upgrade, when the final version becomes available in a purportedly record breaking event later this month.

  1. i love firefox. keep up the good work guys!
  2. I installed it and it's great. There's just one thing bugging me. When set to "When Firefox starts, show my windows and tabs from last time", every time I open it I get about :blank. It never saves the windows/tabs I had open.Didn't have this problem with RC1. hmm..
