OCZ demos slimmed-down Flex Lite memory heatspreaders

If you (like me) have ever tried to populate a board with a full set of OCZ Flex modules, you might have encountered a particularly mundane problem that is altogether a show stopper. The modules are so large that in many boards there is physically no room to put them all in. OCZ has seen how this could easily be a problem and a frustration, and have created an answer. They are now showing off the “Flex Lite”, a redesigned version of the memory heatsink unit.

The Flex Lite is thinner than the previous units, though it still has the needed connecting pipes for passing liquid through and is still a lot more impressive than a standard memory heatspreader. Obviously as they are smaller they have less cooling capacity than the standard Flex units, but if you are water cooling that may not be an issue at all.
