Is Intel set to dump on SIS?

SOURCES CLAIMED that Intel, faced with unexpected success from Silicon Integrated Systems (SIS) in eating into its Pentium 4 chipset business, is contemplating withdrawing the licence for the much smaller Taiwanese firm.
If the reports prove to be true, that will be a blow to SIS but more cynical observers might suggest that Intel feels the P4 licence might have served its purpose.
