eBay announces enhanced protections for PayPal
PayPal is getting a security boost, according to its owner eBay, who announced this week a series of upgrades to the system that will make it a safer tool to use. eBay claims that they will better protect both buyers and sellers using the PayPal service, including higher limits on transaction coverage. They also mentioned offering commission discounts to highly rated PowerSellers, giving them even more incentive to stick with the service going forward. More countries are also being added to the list of the countries in which they will offer protection from bad transactions.
They also talked up the success of Kijiji, which has been a bone of contention for rival Craigslist. Both eBay and Craigslist are currently in the middle of various lawsuits filed against each other.
