MSI Wind gets delayed, again
MSI originally planned to launch their Atom-based mininotebook on June 16, but citing a fire at LG Chem’s Ochang plant the company decided to push back the release date until today. Well, June 27 has arrived and customers are being greeted with yet another delay.
The company had promised an XP version of the Wind with a 3-cell battery instead of the 6-cell one, with hopes of getting to market faster. But according to the company, there’s still a bottleneck due to the industry wide battery shortage. For those who preordered the Wind, the new estimated ship date is July 7 and MSI is tossing in free overnight delivery to make up for the delays.
