VMware releases VMware Fusion 2.0 Beta 2
The VMWare team has just released the second beta for VMWare Fusion 2, pushing ahead in the virtualization software race against its Parallels counterpart. The new release focuses on several key areas to improve the user experience, including improved video support and automatic snapshots to protect your virtual machine from unexpected bumps in the road.
One of the biggest improvements in Beta 2 is within Unity – a feature that provides a seamless way to access Windows applications from the Mac environment. Unity has been upgraded to version 2.0, and brings with it better application sharing and folder mirroring as well as support for Linux apps. There are plenty of other features in this particular update. You can read more about them in the VMWare Fusion 2 Beta 2 page (make sure to watch the videos) and the release notes.
