AMD partners with Blizzard

By Justin Mann

Today, AMD announced that they will be entering into a partnership with Blizzard Entertainment. In the announcement, AMD has let the world know that they will be working with Blizzard in the coming days for the inclusion of certain games in their GPUs through bundling. AMD will be sponsoring the upcoming BlizzCon 2008 as well, and is using both the event and the new partnership to spread word about their Radeon HD 4800 series cards which have just been released.

There isn't a specific list of the games that will be bundled with their cards, but we can certainly imagine it will be titles like World of Warcraft, StarCraft II and Diablo III (once the latter is released). Perhaps AMD's acquisition of ATI will begin to turn itself around.

  1. It seems the only good news coming from AMD is from the graphics division. If only they hadn't paid so much when buying them.
