Opera Mini reaches Movistar in Mexico
Opera has been busy the past few weeks, pushing Opera Mini onto as many handsets as they can. One of their biggest steps came last week when they announced that an Indian handset provider had chosen them as the browser of choice for their devices. Then news came later in the week about them getting a similar deal with German provider O2.
This week they have another provider to add to the list, Movistar Mexico, who will be making Opera Mini available through SMS, localized for Mexico, reaching out to the over 14 million customers of Movistar. Whatever Opera's PR campaign is, it appears to be working, and they very well may have found the perfect fit for their mobile browser. They certainly have a one-up on Mozilla, who is still working on their mobile browser.
