T-Mobile Android phone due within weeks
After initially planning for a launch in the second half of 2008, Google ended up delaying Android due to development issues. They still confirmed that T-Mobile would be the first to release an Android phone, but pushed the release dates back to an unclear fourth quarter. Apparently that delay was all that was needed, and recent reports indicate T-Mobile may be ready to release Android phones in just a few weeks.
More details from both Google and T-Mobile are expected later this month, including some hardware specifications on top of what we already know about Android. Now that the release date is approaching, we'll get to see if all the fuss over Google's new platform was warranted.
