Update: Verizon's BlackBerry Storm page is now live, though all you can do at the moment is sign up for an email alert. Hopefully we'll see RIM's first touch screen phone make its debut soon.

The long-rumored BlackBerry Storm from RIM is set to be announced today, according to an internal Verizon Wireless email leaked over the weekend. Among the device’s specs are a 3.2 megapixel camera, world-wide roaming capabilities, and a unique touch screen that produces a tactile click when pressed to provide the physical feedback that other such devices lack.

Other features include a full HTML browser and the company’s own Visual Voice Mail system. Actual launch details are unavailable at the moment, but early predictions have the official release coming around November 1. Right now, verizonwireless.com/storm leads you to a 404 page error, but the page is expected to go live sometime today with more specific information regarding the first-ever touch screen BlackBerry.
