Google rated in the top 10 most valuable brand names

Remember when Google used to be the underdog? Those days have long since passed. So far gone, in fact, that Google has been rated as one of the 10 most valuable brand names in the world. It is now sitting up there with huge brand names that go back decades or even over a century like Coca-Cola and IBM.

That's a very high place to be – it puts them above companies like Nintendo, Nokia, Apple and many others who have had tangible hardware for many years longer than Google has existed. That's a testament to how well Google has done and how much people have responded to what they offer. However, no more can Google truly be called a “rebel” company – they are a massive, worldwide entity, one that has made their kingdom on advertising.

Firefox has such a wealth of kewl add-on's and features that it's hard to imagine a deluge of people shifting over to Chrome merely because it's a tad faster right now. It's faster right now because it has the benefit of being able to run flat out with little if any plug-in's, hot fixes, extensions, patches, etc. Once they begin to pile on watch the speed advantage (which isn't that much) shrink. As it's popularity grows that hackers will go after if and thus require all sorts of patches, hot fixes, etc. that will slow it down.

Mark my words...Google will rule the world someday. And if they stay the same..This will be a good thing :) Oh if Google browser get ad ons working well...say goodbye to Firefox. I love my Firefox but if all my ad-ons could be used with chrome. I would jump off the Firefox ship.
