Super Talent Technology today announced a new line of mini PCI-Express SSDs which are specifically designed for Asus’ range of Eee PC netbooks. The units are available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB flavors, each with 40MB/sec maximum read speeds and 15MB/sec maximum write rates.

Asus’ Eee PCs only come with up to 20GB of storage, so clearly Super Talent hopes its mini PCI-Express SSDs provide a natural upgrade path for consumers. The units are suitable for Eee PC models 701, 702, 9000, 901, 903, 905 and 1000, according to the specifications. The new drives will enter mass production next month and should be available ranging in price from a quite reasonable $53 to $149.
