BioShock 2 teaser trailer hits the web

The PlayStation 3 version of BioShock may have been late in getting to market, being released almost a year after the game first appeared on the PC and Xbox 360, but at least there was a nice treat awaiting for those who finished the game on the PS3 – the official teaser trailer to BioShock 2.

Like most teasers, it doesn't reveal much. Subtitled “The Sea of Dreams,” the short video features what appears to be an older Little Sister holding a Big Daddy doll and staring at the sea, when suddenly pillars begin emerging from the sand to form a city. Check it out after the jump!

BioShock is one of the best games released so far for current generation consoles, combining a pretty impressive story with an awesome atmosphere, good music, and great gameplay. The teaser trailer will certainly get many excited for the sequel, which has been confirmed for a release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in the second half of 2009.

That trailer is soooo "Meh..."I didn't care for it. What I did like, is the words "Bioshock 2"...I hope this industry can repair some of our consumer hostile DRM issues that distributors are forcing us to live with before shipping time.

That's why it's called a teaser, but sure at least some gameplay of sorts would have been good.I guess this only comes as an official announcement that a sequel is coming and for those familiar with the franchise, remind them of what the Bioshock atmosphere was all about.
