In a move that should surprise few, Activision Blizzard has just announced that it will be selling new versions of its hit franchises next year. The news were revealed at an event in New York designed to stir up interest with potential advertisers, where the company teased updates to Guitar Hero and a revamped Tony Hawk game that is expected to use an all-new skateboard peripheral.

In the meeting, Activision also confirmed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is set for arrival in fall 2009 and is being developed by Infinity Ward. It also revealed that Bizarre Creations, the former Project Gotham Racing studio, is working on a racing-oriented James Bond game which is oddly being described as "Forza meets Mario Kart."
