As expected, Bethesda has released the first piece of downloadable content for its popular Fallout 3 title. Dubbed Operation: Anchorage, the new DLC puts players inside an in-game simulation taking place before the apocalyptic burning of the world in which they must defend the Alaskan wilderness from Chinese Community invaders. Operation: Anchorage will include additional armor, weapons, and achievements, which can then be carried over into the main game.

There are 2 more episodes planned so far – The Pitt and Broken Steel – that will bring more adventures and features to the game, including the ability to continue playing after the final quest has been completed and a level cap increase to level 30. In the meantime, you can get this Xbox 360 and PC exclusive download for 800 Microsoft Points ($10). Check out GameDaily's hands-on review here.
