OCZ has unveiled six DDR3 RAM kits for Intel's coming LGA 1156 processors and P55 chipset. The move comes as we inch closer to the official September 8 launch date of Intel's Lynnfield core. OCZ's announcement comes only a few days after Corsair debuted six DDR3 kits targeting Intel's new architecture.
Of the kits, three are OCZ "Gold" models, with the remaining three being "Platinum" - the latter offer tighter latency timings. All pairs consist of two 2GB modules, feature OCZ's XTC heatspreaders, and run at 1.65V, but their frequencies and timings vary. Both the Gold and Platinum kits each come in speeds of 1333MHz, 1600MHz, and 1866MHz respectively.
The kits will ship with OCZ's lifetime warranty and technical support - but there is no official price or date yet.
