Super Talent reveals SandForce-based SSD lineup

Super Talent has joined OCZ in revealing next-generation SandForce-equipped solid-state drives. The company is preparing an entire lineup of "TeraDrive FT2" SSDs -- and despite their misleading name, the drives max out at 200GB.

The series is comprised of five SSDs, three are based on MLC NAND flash memory, and two are SLC -- all are 2.5-inchers. The MLC drives will come in 50GB, 100GB, and 200GB sizes, while the SLC products will only be available in 50GB and 100GB capacities.

All five TeraDrive FT2 units feature the SF-1500, and reportedly hit top sequential read and write rates of 250MB/s with transaction speeds of up to 30,000 IOPS, and Super Talent claims that those figures won't degrade over time.

The company is currently providing samples of the TeraDrive TF2 to OEMs, and it will ship volume quantities later this quarter.
