The staff of AXP is currently in the process of verifying the issue of incorrectly boxed processors being shipped from AMD. Sources at Monarch Computer have provided this information and pictures of these shipping errors. At this time we would recommend checking with vendors that you may be purchasing from to insure that you are receiving the proper product. AXP has been assured by Monarch Computer that they have checked their stock to insure the correct product is shipping to their customers.

1. I just read the article, and it said the only difference between the correct & incorrect ones was an incorrect 'C' or a correct 'D' at the end of the serial number.Who cares and why does this matter?
2. Yeah, why would something that little really matter?
3. Because C is for 133mhz FSB CPUs & D is for 166mhz.
