Netflix has announced licensing agreements with various content providers that add hundreds of new titles for Canadian Netflix members. Many of the new titles are available now while others will be made available over the next few weeks.

Among the highlights, Canadians will be able to instantly watch seasons 1 and 2 of Weeds, season 1 of The Big C, season 1 of Undercover Boss, seasons 1 through 4 of The Tudors, season 1 of Men with Brooms, seasons 1 and 2 of Republic of Doyle, "Best of" episodes and the last two complete seasons of Saturday Night Live, seasons 1 through 5 of The Kids in the Hall, seasons 1 and 2 of Merlin, as well as seasons 1 and 2 of Pulling. These come from content providers All3Media International, CBC, FremantleMedia Enterprises, Global TV, and Maple Pictures.

Netflix expanded its services to Canada less than three months ago. Unlike in the US, the company doesn't have a mail service in Canada, but it does offer unlimited streaming for $7.99 CAD per month.

"Adding to the choice of content we offer our members is an ongoing focus for Netflix in Canada," Kelly Merryman, vice president of content acquisition for Netflix, said in a statement. "TV content continues to be extremely popular with our members, and we believe that they will be delighted with the expanding list of critically acclaimed and popular TV series available to watch instantly."
