With 2010 come and gone, Spotify has yet to hammer out some deals for its U.S. launch but the popular music streaming service continues to make headway in Europe. Today the company announced a deal with peripheral and device maker Logitech to make its service available on Squeezebox Wi-Fi music players. Users will able to access music files in their network, as well as Spotify and other supported services they are subscribed to, without a computer.

To be able to use Spotify on a Squeezebox must sign up for the premium 10€ per month subscription, though. The move marks a further attempt to lure consumers to upgrade from its free offering, which includes a catalog with over ten million songs and unobtrusive 30 second audio commercials every 10 minutes or so. The premium version is also a prerequisite to use Spotify on smartphones and to be able to access music offline.

Spotify announced a similar service with Sonos back in September. A full rollout from Logitech is expected soon, but in the meantime a beta version of Spotify for Squeezebox Touch and Squeezebox Radio can be downloaded here.
