Apple is continuing its gift giving tradition this year and has now launched its 12 Days of Gifts promo. The gifts come by way of the free to download 12 Days of Gifts app, which is now available on the iTunes Store.
In past years, this promo was only available in Canada as well as select regions in Europe and Japan, but for the first time the promo is open to U.S. customers as well. This year's promotion is also available in other North American regions, Europe, Russia, Japan, and others.
The promo will run from December 26 through to January 6. Each day the app will provide one gift including songs, apps, books, movies, and more from Apple's digital distribution stores. There doesn't appear to be much of an idea as to what the specific gifts might be yet, in previous years Apple handed out games like Broken Sword and Sonic Jump, popular TV episodes, classic films and songs from artists like One Direction and Maroon 5.
Each day's item will only be available for that 24 hour period, so be sure to check at least once a day to make sure you get a chance at everything. You can set the app to send you notifications when new gifts become available. Apple notes that not all content will be available in all countries
You can download Apple's 12 Days of Gifts for free on the iTunes Store now. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, and requires iOS 7 or higher.
