It's that time again, where those with an AMD Radeon graphics card get to update their drivers to a new version. Catalyst 13.12 was released yesterday as a WHQL-certified driver, available on operating systems from Windows Vista to Windows 8.1.

If you've been running the Catalyst 13.11 Beta v9.5 driver there haven't been many changes, but if you're coming from the last WHQL release in September, there are several new features. The entire line-up of R-series GPUs, from the R9 290X to the R7 240, are now officially supported, while several games (including Metro: Last Light as seen above) have received improved CrossFire scaling and new Enduro profiles.

Frame pacing support for multi-GPU setups is included in this driver with limited support: it's only supported in DirectX 10 and DirectX 11 applications at resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 on single displays. Support for frame pacing for those with Eyefinity multi-display or 4K setups will be coming in a future beta driver update, scheduled for January 2014.

There's also a range of bug fixes and patches included in the driver, which you can download from our driver section in either the 64-bit or 32-bit versions.
