Microsoft has clearly been hard at work over the past week: the company has just launched a brand new Windows 10 Preview build, the third build released to Windows Insiders on the Fast Ring this week.

As you might expect for a new build released just a few days after the previous one, build 10162 doesn't introduce any new features. Instead, Microsoft claims this build has "better reliability, performance, battery life, and compatibility than any Windows 10 Insider Preview build so far."

Build 10162 is polished enough that Microsoft is considering it for release in the Slow Ring. Unless Microsoft notices any issue with the build over the next couple of days, the company will push it to Slow Ring users early next week. ISOs for build 10162 are already available to download.

Any Windows 10 Preview builds that Microsoft releases from now until the operating system's launch on July 29 will be solely focused on bug fixes and final polish. The company is unsure how fast they want to push new builds to Insiders, but considering "nearly every build" is passing the Windows Insider release criteria, we could be getting many more builds over the next few weeks.

If you want to test out the Windows 10 Insider Preview build 10162, jump into the Fast Ring and update through the usual Windows Update process.
