In just over a week's time, Amazon will celebrate its 20th birthday with a massive shopping event the company is dubbing "Prime Day". Amazon doesn't want to give away too much just yet, but apparently Prime Day will offer "more deals" than the huge November shopping event that is Black Friday.

The Prime Day sales, which begin at midnight Eastern Time on Wednesday July 15th, will be available exclusively to Prime members in the main countries that Amazon operates in: the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, Canada and Austria.

Amazon will be posting new deals as frequently as every ten minutes, alongside thousands of "Lightning Deals" and "seven popular Deals of the Day" that will cover products from electronics to outdoor items. And of course, because this sale is limited to Prime members only, all sale items will be eligible for fast, free shipping.

Luckily, if you're not already an Amazon Prime member, the company offers a free 30-day trial that you might want to activate in preparation for this massive sale event. Normally the service costs $99 per year, and gives customers free two-day shipping on most items and free same-day delivery on some products in 14 metro areas.
