Sling TV on Wednesday announced an expansion of its lineup that includes the Showtime family of channels as well as a new "Extras" package and the addition of three Spanish-language channels to the existing Best of Spanish TV service.

For $10 per month, Sling TV customers can add a multitude of Showtime content including the base Showtime channel plus Showtime 2, Showtime Showcast, Showtime Extreme, Showtime Beyond, Showtime Next, Showtime West and Showtime Women - each of which caters to a different genre or category (sports, movies, comedy specials and so on).

With the addition, Sling TV is now the first over-the-top provider to offer content from the top four premium networks (Showtime, HBO, Cinemax and Starz). Apple is rumored to be interested in selling HBO, Showtime and Starz as a single bundle but noting has materialized as of yet.

There's also a new Heartland Extra add-on that features six channels: Family Net, Outdoor Channel, PixL, Sportsman Channel, RFD-TV and World Fishing Network. The bundle you set you back an additional $5 per month.

Last but not least are three new Spanish-language channels - Estrella TV, Vme Kids and El Financiero|Bloomberg TV - joining the Best of Spanish TV. There's no change in pricing, we're told, as it's still $10 per month as a standalone service or $5 per month when paired with Sling Orange and / or Sling Blue core bundles.
